Who we are

Macrova is a nutrition and daily health tracking app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

Account: your email address.

Health details you enter: sex, birth date, height, weight, activity level, pregnancy status, your goals, and your daily logs (meals, water, steps, weight).

Subscription status from Apple via RevenueCat, and basic usage counters (for example, how many AI analyses you ran today).

Why we collect it

To calculate your calorie, macro, water, and step goals; show your progress; apply fair-use limits; and run your subscription. Nothing else.

We do not sell your data, and the app has no ads.

AI processing

When you log a meal by text, photo, or voice, that content is sent to AI providers outside Saudi Arabia (in the US and EU) to be analyzed.

Photos and voice recordings are analyzed and then discarded — they are never stored. We ask for your consent before the first photo or voice use.

Crash reports & usage analytics

The app sends anonymous crash reports (via Sentry) and anonymous usage events (via PostHog) — for example, that a meal was logged by photo. Both services are hosted in the EU.

These events never include your meal contents, weight, or any other health value. You can turn this off at any time from Settings → Share usage data.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) in Frankfurt, Germany (EU), and is encrypted in transit.

Payments

Apple processes all payments; we never see your card details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat using a random account identifier — no health data is shared with them.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active.

Settings includes "Delete my account & data" — it permanently removes your account and all personal data. Anonymized usage-cost records (not linked to you) are kept for accounting.

Your rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) you can access, correct, or delete your data. Deletion is built into the app; for anything else, email [email protected].

Children

Macrova is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and its date.
